Community Roadshow brings families together
We were thrilled to welcome so many families to our recent Community Roadshow, where parents, carers and pupils enjoyed exploring a fantastic range of stalls and activities, all designed to connect our community with local services, charities and businesses.Our pupils were amazing tour guides, proudly showing visitors around our temporary school building and joining in activities in the library, art room and classrooms; we were so proud of their enthusiasm and confidence.
Families enjoyed browsing stalls from Thrive, Wraparound Care and Year 6 SATs information, alongside special guests including Magical Mayhem, local police, South Derbyshire Active Sports Partnership and many more.
Alongside the stalls, we also hosted a Book Fair – with countless books heading home with eager readers – while attendees enjoyed sampling some delicious cakes generously provided by our kitchen team!
One of the visitors - Kalila Storey, Constituency Office Manager for local Member of Parliament Samantha Niblett - said: “Thank you so much for the invitation. It was a very well organised event and we were so impressed with the engagement from families. Well done to everyone involved.”
The event was hugely successful, and it was wonderful to see so many members of our local community come together. Thank you to everyone who made it such a memorable afternoon, we can’t wait to welcome you back soon!
