Pupils Show True Character at Cross Country Event

The event saw Year 4 pupils tackle a 1.5km route, while Years 5 and 6 took on a longer 2km challenge. Throughout the afternoon, every child showed fantastic determination, resilience and sportsmanship, a true reflection of the character strengths we value at Newhall.

A special mention goes to our Year 5/6 girls’ team, who placed third in their category. Their teamwork and effort were outstanding, and we’re incredibly proud of their achievement.

Events like this are a brilliant way for pupils to stay active, challenge themselves and support one another. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and hear the cheers of encouragement from the sidelines.

Well done to all who took part, your positive attitude and commitment made the day a great success. We’d also like to thank the South Derbyshire Active Schools Partnership and Linton Primary School for hosting such a well-organised and enjoyable event.
