Year 3 Bring History to Life in Drama Workshop
Our Year 3 pupils enjoyed an exciting and imaginative drama workshop on Friday 16th January as part of their history topic The Bronze Age to Iron Age.Led by visiting drama teacher Dave, the session encouraged children to work together creatively while exploring key moments from early human history.
Throughout the workshop, pupils collaborated in small groups to create expressive freeze frames that showed different periods from the past. One of the highlights was forming a “human timeline” that stretched all the way from the Stone Age to the present day, helping them visualise how people and societies have changed over time.
The children were also introduced to the role of a director, learning how to listen closely, take direction and support one another to bring their scenes to life. The session offered a brilliant mix of fun and learning, helping pupils to build confidence, creativity and teamwork skills.
It was a fantastic experience for all of Year 3 and a memorable way to deepen their understanding of this fascinating period in history.
