Year 4 Enjoy Memorable Gulliver’s Valley Residential
Year 4 recently enjoyed an exciting residential visit to Gulliver’s Valley, packed with adventure, new experiences and plenty of fun with friends.Despite some wet and windy weather, pupils embraced every opportunity and showed great enthusiasm throughout the trip. One of the highlights was exploring the theme park rides, with the rollercoasters proving particularly popular among the group.
As well as enjoying the attractions, pupils took part in a range of activities designed to build teamwork and confidence. During a nightline challenge, children used blindfolds and communication skills to guide each other around a course. They also visited Valley Wildlife, where they saw a variety of animals including tortoises, capybaras and porcupines, before bravely holding a large snake.
Laser tag was another favourite activity, while scootering and toasting marshmallows in the rain ensured there was never a dull moment.
Reflecting on the trip, Grayson said: “My favourite activity was going on the Gyrosaur rollercoaster. Seeing Mr Lander and Miss Burton go on the ride three times each was funny!”
Ella added: “I loved going on all the really fun rides and I liked scootering in the rain. I also liked having a sleepover with my friends.”
Archie said: “I loved the food and the sandwiches were tasty. The laser tag activity was so much fun. I snuck up on my friends and zapped them!”
We are incredibly proud of how Year 4 represented both themselves and Newhall Junior School throughout the residential. They approached every challenge with maturity, responsibility and resilience, making the trip a memorable experience for everyone involved.
We are already looking forward to next year's residential!
