Year 6 Become Crime Scene Investigators in Mini Police Session
This week, our Year 6 pupils had the chance to become real mini detectives during their latest Mini Police session. The art room was transformed into two mysterious crime scenes and it was up to the children to work out what had happened.Armed with curiosity and plenty of teamwork, they used the CSI skills they have been learning to study the evidence. They dusted for fingerprints, examined objects that had been left behind and talked through possible motives. Working in small groups, the children shared ideas, asked questions and used problem solving to piece everything together.
After looking closely at all the clues and comparing their findings, they managed to identify their suspect. The excitement in the room was clear as they solved the case and thought about the skills they had used along the way.
This hands‑on session gave Year 6 a fun introduction to policing and forensic science, while also helping them build confidence, critical thinking and teamwork.
Well done Year 6 on your fantastic detective work!
